Member Posts: 12 | DYOM compatibility. It is a must. I understand how making scm creating and modding is hard, but from what I hear, it's the cutscenes that make missions difficult. If you won't add missions, then let us, but you must make it compatible with the DYOM software. Whenever I try to use it with sa, it works fine, but sa:lc crashes when I try to load anything. Now I understand that you have college and a career to worry about, a little more than you do video games, so I took the liberty to contacting DYOM. I await their email response. The mod is incredible. I would like to see a couple more interiors, and maybe some girlfriends, but number one priority is compatibility. Thank you for your time. I will post this in various places, just to make sure you get it:)

Member Posts: 12 | Technically you can use DYOM with SALC, but you have to replace the lc player.img with the sa img. You also have to replace a corrupt txd in gta3.img. But even when you do all of this, I still experience major crashing. If I don't save after every two changes, I get a crash. I have read the Patrick (DYOM) does not want us at SALC to modify DYOM. His reason was that he didn't want 100 versions of DYOM floating around. A GTA Forums member uploaded a modified DYOM, but removed the file from sendspace.com. So when we replace the Player.img, we loose claude and get CJ instead. Of course, you can always CLEO skin mod Claude back, but you have to tab-E every time you load a new mission. So for beta 8, if we were to include DYOM FULL support, then it'll need some work.

Member Posts: 12 | Well, then this might help youI copied this directly from gta forums. If you want the link to gta forumsthing, I'll post that too. First what your going to have to do is delete the "player.img" from your "SALC\models" folder and replace it with the default CJ version of "player.img". This will now enable DYOM to work but there is another step to take before it's completely stable. There is a corrupt TXD file in the "gta3.img" located in "SALC\models" folder, so firstly download the attached gtagarage patch, inside you will find a file called "cskydark.txd", using "G-IMG", or another img tool open the "gta3.img" use the find function (usually CTRL-F) and locate the original "cskydark.txd", delete that then locate the newly downloaded "cskydark.rar", extract the "cskydark.txd" to your desktop, then go back to your IMG tool and add the new "cskydark" to the archive, then go "commands\rebuild" and wait, this process may take a few minutes so why not get some coffee while you wait . When the archive is rebuilt, run the game, and start DYOM as usually, unfortunately you will be spawned a long way from LC, but if you use the tools function of DYOM it's very simple to teleport to land! The file you must replace can be found here: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=15495 The link to the gta forums page: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=472392 Hope it helped!

I guess you don't really have to replace the player.img, but there is a corrupt file in it. The white tank top txd file is invalid, so that means all that you have to do is open up CJ's player.img, and extract the tanktop. Then you replace the tank top in the SALC player.img. This makes DYOM work, but you spawn in CJ's clothes, with a crew cut. I'm not sure at the moment on how to fix that, but i'll find out soon enough.
